Nathan Phillips Square
There is no better place to be in Toronto on New Year’s Eve than Nathan Phillips Square. Food Trucks line the streets serving every sort of food imaginable, from the typical hamburgers and hot dogs to the gourmet kebabs and grilled cheese. Live music plays all night, and visitors can skate in front of the beautiful Toronto sign outside the city hall. This year music will be provided by the incredible DJ Starting From Scratch and Walk Off The Earth, as well as many others. To cap the night, perfectly a beautiful fireworks display starts at the stroke of midnight.
Niagara Falls
Although not technically in the GTA, the short drive to Niagara Falls on New Year’s Eve is certainly worth it. Celebrating the new year next to one of nature’s greatest wonderments comes with a feeling you won’t experience anywhere else. The lights that shine on the falls are beautiful, and the fireworks show at midnight is second to none.
Can’t make it to Niagara Falls for New Year’s? Not to worry, if you rent from Advantage for 5 days more, you’re instantly entered into a trip for two to Niagara Falls for a weekend of your choice.

The views are also amazing at midnight; watching the fireworks over Lake Ontario and looking towards Toronto Island is a truly impressive sight to see. Within walking distance of many amazing restaurants and food trucks, you will just need to park your car and enjoy your night.
